On Your Money

The biggest compliment we get around here at Political Calculations(TM) is when somebody finds one of our tools useful and spreads the word. I'd like to thank Kevin McKinley of Kevin McKinley's On Your Money for his kind review of our "Investing in Real Estate for Cash Flow" tool. While I don't think Donald Trump will be surfing his way here for investment advice anytime soon, I do appreciate the thought!

I will say that Kevin's site is one of the most well done that I've ever seen put together. Nice, clean design overall - the only improvement I could suggest would be to make sure there are text links on the page to correspond with the image-based "mouseover" links at the top (there needs to be a text "About Me" link in the regular page section, for example.) Other than that, the execution is flawless - there are clear links to Kevin's highly informative articles, archived radio shows, books and contact information.

And there are useful tools too! While many are standard personal finance fare, such as "How Much House Can I Afford?" and a "Simple Loan Calculator", others let you get into real detail in considering your investments. These include tools such as the "Investment Analysis Calculator," which is ideal for tracking the investment performance of a stock, bond or mutual fund, and the "Advanced Lease Calculator", which would be very useful for anyone shopping for a new car lease.

Credit for developing the tools belongs to Time Value Software, which markets a wide range of financial calculators to web sites.
