On the Moneyed Midways - May 2, 2008

Carnival Midway from The Jerk Welcome to the Friday, May 2, 2008 edition of On the Moneyed Midways, the only place you'll find the best posts from the past week's best money or business-related blog carnivals!

This edition turned out to be much shorter than we expected. First, the Odysseus Medal continues to be delayed as host Greg Swann focuses on rolling out BloodhoundBlog's engenu beta test software, which has the potential to substantially reshape how real estate professionals market homes on the Internet. That counts for a lot of goodwill in our book as you'll soon see....

In other news, we're simply skipping this week's Festival of Stocks, as it fully failed our quality control test. Simply put, this week's host was on complete autopilot, using the fabulously bad and obsolete Blog Carnival site to autogenerate the entire carnival, producing a product that was, if we're being honest, a complete waste of our time to review.

Meanwhile, this week's Carnival of Money Stories came within a hair's breadth of being dumped from consideration, with the only salvation being that its host this week at least selected a handful editor's picks.

Hopefully, next week will have the business and money-related blog carnival world back up running at full force. Until then, the best posts of the week that was await you below....
